About me
My love for art began when, one day I decided to pick up a brush and paint a mural of a magical castle on my daughter’s bedroom wall. Not knowing that I could paint, I was quite surprised with the outcome, and my journey to find my artistic style began.
After 7 years of studying, completing art courses and trying out new techniques, I was ready to follow my dreams of becoming an artist and in 2021, I opened up my art business and have been growing my portfolio ever since.
My art is inspired by my love for nature and animals. I love how you can catch the soul of an animal through its eyes and I try to demonstrate this through my wildlife and pet portrait artwork. I work with a range of mixed mediums such as pastels and charcoal and have recently found a love for oil paints. My style is photo realism, although I usually create my artwork from a photo I like to mix it up a bit and not stick fully to the image. I like to experiment with different techniques, and have recently found a new love for working with one white pastel pencil on anthracite paper, I love how dramatic a white pencil can look on a dark surface, really creating the depth that I seek.
My work has sold throughout the U.K and has even reached as far as Ireland and America.
Through my work, I aim to bring joy and peace to my viewer by enhancing reality with my creative mind.
New for 2023, landscapes and seascapes, over the past year I have be learning how to create landscapes and seascape using oil paints, follow along on my Facebook to be one of the first to see my new oil landscape art.
